UCSB Fencing has traveled to the USA Collegiate Fencing Championships since 2015, enjoying successes each year. In 2017, our women's saber team finished with the gold, while our men's epee and men's saber each finished with bronze. Our combined men's team (foil, epee, and saber) finished in second place overall, and our combined men's and women's teams finished third in the nation. In 2019, one of our women's foilists finished with the silver in individuals. In 2022, two UCSB women's foilists finished first and second individuals and in second place as a squad. In 2023, those women finished first, third, and eighth individually, and first overall as a squad. That year, one men's foilist also finished second overall, and one men's saber fencer finished sixth.

Help us continue this tradition of success! The women's foil team is back this year for another shot at the title. They are joined by one of the strongest men's teams that UC Santa Barbara has ever had. However, it seems that traveling is more expensive than ever. While we normally cover costs through dues and tournament fundraisers, airfare has skyrocketed far beyond our budgeted expectations.

We aim to fly a complete men's and women's team to Virginia for the 2024 Championships in April. These 20 athletes have been working hard all season, preparing for heated bouts with schools from around the country (and the inevitable matchups with Michigan and Dartmouth). Your donation can give this current group of athletes a chance to bring home the gold.

Any funds raised beyond our goal for club championships will go toward equipment and armory renovations. Thank you for cheering on UCSB Fencing!
