How do you make an instrument sing when it has 61 bells – up to 2.5 tons heavy – that dangle 175 feet off the ground?
With the help of the UC Santa Barbara community!
The UCSB Carillon has echoed through the memories of generations of Gauchos. To celebrate its 50th Anniversary, we invite you to give back by making a gift in support of its music.
The UCSB Carillon keeps campus moving by chiming the hour and marks special occasions with recitals that draw spectators to relax on the Storke Tower lawn with their loved ones. The bells have welcomed countless students to campus and have resounded before every commencement. University Carillonist Wesley Arai and three talented students play the UCSB Carillon by hand. Campus wouldn’t be the same without this soundtrack.
We hope you can make a gift to preserve and maintain this iconic campus landmark so the UCSB Carillon rings out for another 50 years!
Thanks for supporting the UCSB Carillon! Enjoy a song of your choice played on Storke tower (in coordination with the Carillon Team) and we will send you a recording of the song or let you know when it is playing on campus if you'd like to hear it in person!
