Help us get to ACRA by raising an additional $50k

Thanks to the efforts of the UCSB Rowing team, they have already raised $10,000 to go to ACRA but we need your help to raise an additional $50,000!

We are the UCSB rowing team, established in 1965. In order to retain athletes during the COVID-19 pandemic, our club did not collect dues for over a year. Throughout the pandemic, our team continued to train virtually over Zoom and succeeded in retaining a high number of athletes who will be returning this fall. We are raising money to make up for the dues that our team did not collect during the pandemic. 

ACRA, our nationals, is our biggest race and will be held in Tennessee this year. Because of our budgetary constraints, this race is in danger of being cut from our regatta schedule in the Spring of 22’.  Our men’s and women’s teams have had great success at ACRA in past years, including winning the women’s 8+ event in 2015,16,17,18 and 19! We were unable to continue that winning streak in 2020 due to Covid-19. Our athletes need to return to ACRA this year to reclaim our national championship titles! 

All of our men’s and women’s athletes are excited to return to full in-person training and racing this fall. Our first race back will be Head of the Charles River, held in Boston where our men’s four placed 3rd out of 40 boats in 2019!  Please help to support us by cheering us on this fall and making a donation of any size to ensure our trip to ACRA this spring!
